Director Kathy Pounds has been in the field of educating young children for 30 years in the postitions of classroom teacher, Assistant Director and Director.  In 2007-2008, Kathy was recognized as the Collin County AEYC Director of the Year.  Her favorite aspect of Teddy Bear Junction is having the opportunity to work with children, parents and staff in a loving environment.  She feels it is the responsibility of early childhood educators to provide an environment where children can experience success in a loving and nurturing environment and that they leave as confident children who are excited to learn.  Outside of TBJ, Kathy loves spending time with her wonderful granddaughters Katelyn (15- a TBJ graduate) and Rainey (23 months), reading and travel.
