- Maximum Ratio 15:2 or 8:1
- Developmentally appropriate centers provided to allow children to make
choices and participate in each activity.
- Centers include science demonstrations, manipulatives, puzzles, blocks,
home living and a quiet book area. Special centers such as sand and water tables are brought in periodically.
- Art centers are provided to allow children to express themselves and to
develop prewriting skills.
- Language arts concentrates on whole language development.
- Letter and number recognition and differentiation
- Star of the Week provides the child with motivation for communicating
information about his/her family and favorite toys.
- Circle time becomes important as the class discusses concepts for the
theme of the week, stories, songs and finger plays, calendar, weather and show and tell.
- Music, Movement, Spanish and Kidokinetics are also included.
- Children's chapel with one of the Pastors from the Reformed Church
once a month. Parents are always invited to attend.
- Mid morning snack of milk and crackers are provided.
- Lunch is brought from home along with a non-carbonated beverage.
- Recreation time on the preschool playground
- During inclement weather, the Fellowship Hall is available for exercising
those large muscles.
