- Maximum Ratio 18:2 or 9:1
- Class meets 5 days a week with expanded curriculum from the 4s.
- This class is for children who benefit from another year in preschool or for children turning 5 by December 31st.
- Language arts study reviews concepts and letter/sound recognition while continuing to encourage creative writing.
- Number recognition and set matching develop pre-math skills.
- Free art allows the child to develop stroke mastery and small muscle control necessary in building prewriting skills.
- Star of the Week continues to build self esteem.
- A computer available twice a week.
- Science centers offer more "hands-on" experiences.
- Music is offered two days per week.
- Movement, Spanish, and Kidokinetics is offered.
- Cooking with the teachers AND in the home living center provides experiences in language arts, math and science.
- Children's chapel with one of the Pastor's from the Reformed Church once a month. Parents are always invited to attend.
- Recreation time on the preschool playground
- During inclement weather, the Fellowship Hall is available for exercising those large muscles.
- Children must turn five by December 31st of the school year that they enter the PreK class.
